Kyle Richter is a freelance professional tuba player based out of Long Beach, California. Kyle has performed with the CSULB Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra and, while studying at Cal State Long Beach, he won the 2013/14 Bob Cole Conservatory Instrumental Concerto Competition, performing the John Williams Tuba Concerto in the Spring of 2014 with the conservatory orchestra, As a recent graduate of Cal State Long Beach, he holds a Bachelor of Music degree in tuba performance. Kyle also teaches privately, specializing in low brass, as well as group coaching. He has taught in the classroom as well as on the field for marching band at Eastlake High School since 2010. Kyle has studied tuba with Norm Pearson, John Van Houten, Roger Bobo, Roland Szentpali, Dan Perantoni, and Gene Pokorny.
